A landscape-driven scheme for the design of a public park in Singapore. The 145,000 sqm park is one of three new parks which are being developed following an international competition sponsored by Singapore National Parks.
As the lead architect in the initial stages, Itay’s role was developing the architectural aspect of the brief in this vast site, including a boat house, 3 restaurants and cafes, a visitor centre, parking, and a judging tower and terraces to facilitate competitive boat races.
Due to the project’s size the concept design stage was centered around developing individual buildings as components in a larger system encompassing the entire site, aimed at minimising costs and simplifying fabrication and construction.
